Nurse-led daily care supports triage, wound care, medication management, follow-ups, and care navigation—reducing off-island referrals and improving health stability for veterans and families.
The campus medical suite is designed for nurse-led daily care, urgent stabilization, and telehealth-first access to VA and specialty partners. It functions as part of the broader Health & Medical Services system, and is physically integrated into Village 5 for fast access and continuity during emergencies.
Nurse-led daily care supports triage, wound care, medication management, follow-ups, and care navigation—reducing off-island referrals and improving health stability for veterans and families.
During hurricanes, grid failures, or regional disruption, the suite pivots into a stabilization posture—supporting triage overflow, urgent care, and continuity while coordinating with local EMS and partners.
Secure telehealth access extends care capacity to VA and specialty clinicians across primary care, behavioral health, follow-ups, and remote consults—without forcing risky off-island travel.
Care delivery is structured under professional oversight, protocols, and standing orders aligned with licensing and scope-of-practice requirements—designed for safety, auditability, and continuity.
The medical suite is integrated into Village 5 so care stays close to housing, counseling, and daily support services. This reduces barriers to treatment and enables faster response during emergencies without displacing residents.
